I'm Katy. This is my journal. I don't write in it as much as I used to, now I write much more in my paper journal than here. I live and go to school in New York, and my home is Santa Monica, CA.

I love writing in short and declarative sentences such as these.

When I'm not wasting away online, I go to classes at the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting, compose a good deal of poetry, attend many shows, contemplate the meaning of life, read read read(currently Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs), study at NYU, wreak havoc on New York with my friends, dance, and occasionally sit down to relax. I recently took up screenwriting and am in the middle of writing a 30 minute short to shoot in NYC next spring. We'll see how that goes.

He was the same as all the rest
She could predict their end the day that they met
The usual cast of characters was pushing a cliché
If it had been two years before
She would sketch his face on a billboard
so un-erasable
But now, she drew the initials on the bottoms of her shoes
Just the spot where hopes are lost and flattened on the ground
She'll realize her mistake
But he'll never be found
As the months go by, she'll wave her flag of grief
And another number of suitors will come to her feet.
She will exclude all but one
They'll charm each other with jokes and similarities
She holds him far too close: his names and portraits inscribed on her hands.
Everything she touches is stained with his brand.
His hands are untouched, blank, and careless
So out come shiny razorblades, his tool of destruction.
He slashes the sentiments shown on her hands into an undone splatter of ink and blood.
